Pauline Zerla

Violent and Peaceful Behaviour

Pauline Zerla is a Research Assistant for XCEPT and a doctoral researcher in the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. Her research focuses on trauma and mental health in conflict, and war to peace transitions. She is a fellow on the Civil War Paths project at the University of York. At King’s College London, she is a member of the War Crimes Research Group, the Conflict, Security and Development Research Group, and the Visual and Embodied Methodologies Network. She is also a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Defence Studies. Pauline’s background is in peacebuilding, trauma, and security studies. Prior to XCEPT, she worked for various peacebuilding organisations in DR Congo, CAR, Nigeria, and others.
