Benedetta Zocchi is a Senior Research Manager at XCEPT and an expert in feminist research and critical border studies. She completed her PhD in Political Science at Queen Mary University of London, where she focused on migrant agency and border regimes along the Western Balkan Route. Before joining XCEPT, Benedetta was a postdoctoral fellow in migration and conflict studies at the University of Oxford and worked as a conflict and gender research consultant at Bodhi Global Analysis. A seasoned qualitative researcher, she has published in peer-reviewed journals including Postcolonial Studies and the Journal of Borderland Studies, and conducted policy research for UNHCR, UNICEF, and IOM. Benedetta’s approach is guided by feminist decolonial praxis, and she is passionate about bridging grassroots methodologies and local knowledge with policy-oriented research.
