Elaf Khaled

Elaf Khaled is a Research Officer for XCEPT. She is based in Iraq and manages field work, coordination, training of enumerators, as well as supporting in other parts of the Middle East research. Her participation in research focuses on trauma and mental health in conflict, oral histories, and armed conflict. She is a trained Interior designer who used to teach drawing and design at Sulaymaniyah Institute. She’s worked at UN agencies in research department for several years and volunteered supporting deaf students. She is currently responsible for revising tools with XCEPT research team and doing data collection, writing transcripts, data analysis and finally participating in writing articles with XCEPT team.
