The project is a collaborative study that forms part of the XCEPT research programme’s qualitative-comparative stream. Empirical research focuses on three case studies representing distinct borderland configurations in Northern Bahr el-Ghazal (South Sudan), North and South Waziristan (Pakistan) and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).
