Nicki Kindersley

Rift Valley Institute

Nicki is Lecturer in History at the University of Cardiff, and holds a PhD in History from the University of Durham. She was the Harry F Guggenheim Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, 2017-2020. Nicki specialises in the history of migration, political economy and armed labour in South Sudan and its borderlands. She runs several research projects with colleagues at the Universities of Juba and Khartoum and with RVI on the South Sudan Customary Authorities Project and the South Sudan National Archives Project.

Nicki is a Researcher for XCEPT at the Rift Valley Institute.
