Conflict Response

International conflict response needs to innovate to meet the challenges of cross-border conflict. XCEPT research on conflict response centres on breaking the confines of state-centric policy and planning to better address the transnational dimensions of conflict. By applying a transnational lens to analysis of conflict response mechanisms, and comparing interventions in varied contexts, the research aims to surface obstacles to improved international, regional, and bilateral responses across borders and highlight opportunities for policy adaptation.

Below you can find and download publications by XCEPT partners that examine why some interventions succeed but others fail, and how international conflict response systems should adapt to meet the challenges of cross-border conflict and the shifting international order.
